Dubrovnik is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. According to CNN it’s also one of the 10 best preserved medieval walled cities in the world, which makes it a very suitable location for some scenes from the show. Dubrovnik indeed provided ideal natural settings for King’s Landing, and you will realize this, once you get the chance to stroll around its cobbled streets. Locations  include St. Dominic street, Lokrum island, Knežev dvor and Sponza palace, Fort Lovrijenac, Fort Bokar, Pile Gate, the Minčeta tower and the aforementioned abandoned hotel Belvedere. The production also used the nearby Trsteno arboretum.

The standard tour include the tour around the locations within and around the Old Town of Dubrovnik. During the tour you will be able to see locations which were used as settings in the Season 2 (episodes 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10) and Season 3 (episodes 1 and 10).

It is possible to extend the tour to include a visit to the Rector’s Palace and/or the island of Lokrum and visit all the locations from Season 2. Aside from that, it is also possible add a visit the Arboretum of Trsteno (located at about 20 minutes drive from Dubrovnik) and see where the locations involving Lady Olenna Tyrell from Season 3 were filmed.

Overnight stay is at the hotel in Dubrovnik.

Today it is time to leave the beautiful Dubrovnik to go to the middle of Croatia – Split, one of the most medieval city on this coast.

On the way we definitely suggest to make a stop in Mali Ston for a lunch with oyster degustation in fine restaurant by the sea. Cities of Ston & Mali Ston sit 50km northwest of Dubrovnik on an isthmus that connects the Peljesac Peninsula, the second largest Croatian peninsula, with the mainland. Formerly part of the Republic of Dubrovnik, Ston was and is an important salt-producing town. Its economic importance to Dubrovnik led, in 1333, to the construction of a 5.5km wall, one of the longest fortifications in Europe.

Architects including Juraj Dalmatinac were involved in the design and construction, which included 40 towers and five forts. The walls are still standing, sheltering a cluster of medieval buildings in the town centre and we highly recommend to visit it.  Today this area is also famous for its oyster and mussel production.

After delicious lunch in Ston slowly ride to the main cultural and economic centre of Dalmatia and the second largest city in Croatia, Split.

Overnight stay is at the hotel in Split.

A very good Morning, we hope you sleep well because it is time to follow the path of the stars and see the Split's 1700 years old Diocletian's palace and Klis fortress, locations used in ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 & 5. On this walking and driving tour with our expert guide at your side, you’ll get to know filming locations while exploring Diocletian's palace and Klis fortress.

Explore Diocletian's palace and see the highlights of the UNESCO-listed palace complex, one of the most significant and best preserved structures of the late ancient architecture where Danaerys plots her revenge.

Klis medival fortress is where the show filmed Daenerys plotting her return to power, situated above a village bearing the same name, near the city of Split. Klis fortress, from its origin as a small stronghold built by the ancient Illyrian tribe Dalmatae, becomes a royal castle that was the seat of many Croatian kings.

The end of this day we will finish with dinner where you will enjoy a feast of traditional Croatian barbecue and local wine beside the Zrnovica River at a 600-year-old water mill, also a Game of Thrones filming location.

Overnight stay is at the hotel in Split.
