The National Park „Krka“ enters the new year in the festive atmosphere as it celebrates its birthday on January 24th. Krka, one of the youngest Croatian national parks, was proclaimed in 1985 to protect exceptional natural values and rich cultural and historical heritage. On the occasion of its 35th birthday, the Krka National Park Public Institution decided to cheer visitors with free admission to the Park starting from Friday, January 24 to Sunday, January 26, 2020. In honor of the 35th birthday, the children of the drama and stage group DV Smilje and PO Šibenik are preparing to perform a puppet show ”Little Nature Keepers” and present puppets made according to figures from the eponymous picture book presented by the Public Institution “Krka NP” last year. Through the story of the bat Jopi, children are introduced to the different species that live within the boundaries of the National Park and through a community of different species they are trying to address the threat of pollution as well as gain a sense of importance within the community for one purpose, and that is to save what we all have in common, humans and animals, our planet Earth.
